Starting Salary: $15.50/hour

 JOB DESCRIPTION

Quest Diagnostics, an industry leader in diagnostic testing, is currently recruiting highly motivated individuals to fill Lab Associate positions.  Lab Associates will perform, and are not limited to, the following job responsibilities: 

 

1. Assists Clinical Laboratory Scientist with multiple routine/specialty assays.

2. Prepares reagents and controls using automated or fixed volume measuring devices.

3. Organizes and processes clinical specimens. Identifies worksheet, computer and specimen problems.
4. Maintains inventory of reagents and supplies. Unpacks, logs, dates and stores reagents/supplies.

5. Organizes written data, printouts, and other documents for licensed Clinical Laboratory Scientist review.

6. Prepares testing equipment, assists with preventative maintenance.

This position requires a BS/BA degree in a Biological Science or Chemistry (Other life sciences will be evaluated). Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, etc.).  May require lifting and carrying of objects in the weight range of 1 to 10 lbs.  Previous laboratory experience considered a plus.
