EHS ENGINEER

This company philosophy shared by over 1,000 employees also endorses employee dignity and empowerment combined with career mentoring and growth opportunity to create a great work environment.EHS ENGINEER The EHS Engineer will assess EHS compliance initiative and protocols; implement, author, train and audit all aspects of the manufacturing, laboratory, R&D, Packaging and Warehousing operations. · Act as liaison to all EHS auditors. Provide counsel and direction to all levels of the organization regarding best EHS practices.· Reduce occupational injuries and workers compensation costs through proactive management and training.· Perform incident investigations and industrial hygiene testing as needed.· Develop, implement and update facility-wide environmental health and safety programs including waste water effluent compliance, worker’s compensation, hazard communication, MSDS Management, lockout/tagout, hazardous/solid waste and material management, air permitting, compliance and reporting, contractor safety, powered industrial trucks, confined spaces, hearing and noise, respiratory protection and blood borne pathogens.· Direct safety inspections and audits across all areas of operations and follow-up on corrective actions as required.· Incorporate EHS engineering principles into all new production equipment purchases and proactively review all proposed developmental site work for potential EHS impacts and mitigate to the greatest extent possible.· Maintain, update and prepare site-wide environmental permits and safety databases.· Prepare documentation and report facility-wide emissions to appropriate internal stakeholders and external agencies.
