Boulder/Fort Collins, CO Sales/Retail/Business Development Job SummaryExternal Summary of Primary Responsibilities: Provides inspirational leadership and strategic direction to PSSs in order to achieve performance objectives; this is accomplished by achieving field day requirements and through effective coaching, mentoring & utilization of resources aligned with organizational vision. Major Responsibilities: •Develops people: Drives business by observing Pharmaceutical Sales Specialists interactions with key customers, providing them with individual coaching, feedback and inspiration. Helps PSS continue to develop for success in current role and for future growth. •Ensures commitment: Builds commitment for the shared vision by facilitating team communication, morale and effectiveness. As a role model, inspires trust and commitment to AstraZenecas best interests. (Within own work unit and/or cross-functional teams) •Builds Self-Awareness: Continuously seeks opportunities to understand why ones emotions occur, as well as how they impact others. Takes responsibility for redirecting efforts as needed to deliver high productivity and quality of work from self and others. •Sets ambitious goals and exceeds them: Sets ambitious goals, identifies strategic business opportunities, and is accountable for achieving standards of excellence aligned with AstraZeneca, ones work unit and/or ones self. •Professionalism: Demonstrates business ethics, understands basic business principles and interprets resources available to make sound business decisionsResponsibilitiesMinimum Requirements •Bachelors degree. •Minimum of 3+ years experience with consistent success in pharmaceutical sales or healthcare sales. •Demonstrated leadership capabilities, financial management and written & oral communications skills. Preferred Background •Previous management experience. •Previous exposure and/or experience in other functional areas of the business, i.e., Sales Training, Customer Solutions, Sales Operations, Managed Care and Marketing.
