Director of Corporate Web Site Strategy

Location: research triangle park, NC 27709 Job Category: Marketing/Product Career Level: Executive (SVP, VP, Department Head, etc) A career at Quintiles Transnational Corp. puts you at the corporate center of the leading worldwide pharmaceutical services organization.  Quintiles is a $2B+ pharmaceutical services provider that is in the business of helping to speed life saving medicines to patients around the global.  Currently we have nearly 20,000 employees worldwide that work and live in over 50 countries.  If you want to work for a global, fast-paced organization dedicated to improving the development and marketing of medicines, Quintiles could be the place for you.  We are currently seeking a Director of Web Strategy to be located in our Research Triangle Park, NC office. The Director of Web Strategy will lead the strategy and oversee the planning and execution of initiatives for a major stakeholder within the Quintiles organization.  This role will partner with key executives within the organization to understand the unique needs of this segment and align strategy and desired outcomes appropriately.  The ideal candidate will have experience designing web strategy using a high tech and modern approach, have excellent collaboration and communication skills, and have a track record of solid success.  Key responsibilities include the following: Develops and executes Web strategies and plans Coordinates Web initiatives with other company-wide Web initiatives (e.g., Informatics, etc.) and activities on other Web channels Deploys and ensures compliance with corporate Web policies, procedures, and guidelines to govern Web activities Counsels senior management on Web strategy to support the business Manages Web development from a centralized office while supporting decentralized content development from business and corporate groups Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires evaluation of identifiable factors Develops Web communication programs to extend reach with stakeholders and increase understanding of Web programs Manages use of new media, including social media, and other technological applications to enhance corporate communication and company reputation Evaluates and manages external vendor and partner relationships, contracts and technologies Ensures Web strategy and technologies are complementary to the company's technology infrastructure Integrates newly acquired companies' Web sites and activities as directed Uses market research, usability reviews, site assessments and Web metrics to adjust and enhance Web design, content and functionality Evaluates new technologies and multimedia to enhance the performance and design of the Website Coordinates and implements Web branding and messaging with direction from the Marketing and Communication Departments Measures results of Web strategies and initiatives and reports results Prepares and administers yearly Web strategy for assigned Web channels Ensures Web initiatives are delivered on time and within budget Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications or other related field 10 years of experience in corporate web management Excellent leadership skills Management experience preferred
