Thanks to continued growth, we have an immediate, full-time opening for a Director, State Government Affairs SGA) at our RTP, NC location.This mission-critical position within our Corporate Compliance & Ethics Department will proactively identify, track and assess state and local legislative and regulatory proposals to evaluate their potential impact on our operations and profitability, acting as primary contact and expert for senior management and other staff members and working collaboratively to formulate strategies to achieve optimum outcomes. The incumbent will direct develop and recommend company-wide strategies on emerging issues, government challenges and product access concerns within our administrative programs; lobby govern officials and recruit network support of industry peers; and assume responsibility for direct advocacy and relationship building to promote specific strategic interests.The candidate we seek must be articulate, flexible, tenacious and diplomatic, demonstrating superior analytical and critical thinking abilities. A bachelor's degree is required (JD or masters in business, public policy, public health, economics or health sciences greatly preferred), and no less than 8-10 years; experience in public policy, government or public affairs in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industries, 4 of which in increasingly responsible roles.
