Director, Sales Training Work Location: Not ApplicableShifts: Not ApplicablePositions Available: 1Position Summary Under administrative direction of the Vice President – Business Operations, directs the development, delivery, and administration of all training and development programs for the AmerisourceBergen Drug Company sales associates, including corporate sales leadership. Oversees the development and delivery of training and development programs for the ABC Customer Operations group. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for improving the productivity of the sales organization; ensures the effective development, coordination and presentation of training and development programs for leadership and sales associates. Directs the development and implementation of all sales force training programs related to Sales Force Automation such as sales process, value propositions, customer segmentation, and key drivers of customer profitability. Directs and develops train the trainer programs; responsible for training key individuals in the regional office to train local and regional sales force. Develops and directs all training materials such as CDs, web-based training and videos. Manages the ABC sales and customer service training department. Provides leadership and direction to the regional staff on prioritization of training. Manages the development and implementation of customer service training programs. Works with all corporate sales and marketing departments to develop the training process. Manages and coordinates all training meetings associated with the sales force. Responsible for all sales force training and accreditation including tracking of complete progress and success. Satisfies learning needs by researching, designing, developing and implementing training interventions and introducing new trends in training and development technologies. Provides reports and updates to management as required regarding activities, costs and performance. Directs, trains, motivates, and evaluates associates in the training department; continually looks for ways to improve the overall training processes and procedures; maximizes communication. In alignment with the Company's vision and mission, proposes, designs, develops and implements new and existing training programs, procedures and initiatives to improve the overall new hire training and advanced training through customer satisfaction research and industry standards. Provides benchmarking statistics on the results of new programs, initiatives and training; develops, delivers and facilitates training and training content. Develops and directs progress to learning objectives. Directs the training development and delivery at the regional and national levels. Leads the development of web-based training and ABC University for the sales and customer operations associates. Determines cost benefit analysis for training programs being offered. Must be willing to travel up to 50% of the time. Performs related duties as assigned. Experience and Education Requirements Requires specific training in fields such as education/training, instructional design, business administration, sales, marketing or similar vocations obtained through completion of a four year Bachelor's Degree Program and/or advanced degree from accredited institution. Requires a minimum of four (4) to six (6) years in adult education/training experience; direct experience in needs assessment, curriculum design, testing, evaluation, quality control, performance metrics and reporting for adult education programs including ESL training, GED preparation and distance education, preferably with eLearning programs; previous experience in a Corporate/Consulting environment preferred.
