Director, Environmental Health & Safety

Mylan is a world leader in providing consumers with an extensive line of high quality, affordable and effective pharmaceutical products in a variety of traditional and innovative dosage forms. We are currently seeking a Director of Environmental Health and Safety to provide oversight, technical guidance, and direct management of International Health, Safety and Environmental programs. This position will be based out of our Morgantown, WV location. In this dynamic role, the candidate will directly manage International Health, Safety, and Environmental personnel and efforts; assume direct management and oversight of international EH&S activities; conduct routine audits of EH&S functions; develop and implement policies, procedures and guidelines; conduct HAZ-OPS evaluations; provide for a comprehensive Industrial Hygiene program; track and report on performance metrics according to local laws, policies and procedures; provide technical guidance on control equipment, and design and support engineering on design and remediation efforts; provide oversight of EH&S capital requests and operating budgets; provide anticipatory planning to improve compliance and be proactive to evolving rules and regulations; act as the focal point for international EH&S compliance and provide guidance to the Corporation; review and approve EH&S related contracts, terms and conditions for consultants and other service providers; and evaluate personnel and control EH&S budgets. The successful candidate will have a minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Engineering, or Industrial Hygiene, plus a minimum of 10 years of experience in chemical and/or pharmaceutical experience in Health, Safety, and Environmental Services is required. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.
