Director, Analytical Chemistry (6017)

DescriptionThe Director of Analytical Chemistry will direct Analytical research and development activities for current and future Cubist pipeline opportunities.Duties and Responsibilities• With the Sr. Director of Chemical Development, formulate a plan including goals, budget and resources required for the Cubist Analytical group.• Implement the plan utilizing both internal and external resources.• Assembly analytical development documents of CMC section for IND and NDA filing• Direct in-house analytical support functions for drug discovery and development project teams, includes the building up of in house capacity for High Resolution NMR.• Work with Business development and other Cubist teams to assess external opportunities and build our pipeline through in-license and M & A activities.• Work with QA, serve as the chairperson of specification committee for development compounds• Establish a stability group and provide support of stability program for compounds at different development stages.• Develop plan for establishing the analytical lab. with GLP compliancesRequired ExperienceA. Education/Certification • Ph.D in scientific discipline (e.g. Organic Chemistry, or Analytical Chemistry)B. Experience• Ten plus (10+) years experience in Analytical R and D, 5+ years experience in Analytical R and D management, successful track records for IND or and NDA filings. • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities • Strong leadership, management, communication and interpersonal skills.• Demonstrated ability to build value through creative solution to Analytical issues• Experience in working productively with interdisciplinary teams.• Commitment to teamwork • Demonstrate sense of urgency• Display a high degree of reliability• Experience with filing CMC regulatory documents (IND, BLA, NDA, etc)• Experience with GLP/GMP operation• Experience with biologics is a plusTotal Rewards:
