Ethicon Endo-Surgery, Inc. develops and markets advanced medical devices for minimally invasive and open surgical procedures. The company focuses on procedure-enabling devices for the interventional diagnosis and treatment of conditions in general and bariatric surgery, gastrointestinal health, gynecology and surgical oncology. Products include: the ENDOPATH® XCEL™ Access System; CONTOUR™ Curved Cutter Stapler; HARMONIC™ ultrasonic cutting and coagulating surgical devices; and the MAMMOTOME® Breast Biopsy System for diagnosis of early-stage breast cancer. The Digital Strategy Group Director is responsible for developing and integrating the U.S. demand generation digital strategy and proactively championing new technologies, trends, and best-in-class web/interactive practices for potential use with or in support of Ethicon Endo-Surgery, Inc (EES) stakeholders. This person will also be developing and executing the tactical approach in support of the digital strategy as well as forming and leading project teams to develop and execute the digital strategy; and aligning with, leveraging and championing the corporate brand as the foundation of communication between EES stakeholders and our products and services. The Digital Strategy Group Director, being the passionate digital advocate, who inspires, excites, collaborates, and influences across the organization to take advantage of value-added digital communications; will own the governance and processes relating to the demand generation digital strategy and digital assets. This person will advocate the digital potential to increase customer loyalty, and increase efficiency across the organization as well as provide oversight to all brand related web/interactive plans and activities in the demand generation area to ensure continuity and compliance to the digital strategy. The Digital Strategy Group Director will define, lead, and manage the execution of EES digital strategies, processes, and governance for demand generation activities.Champion change and ensure alignment across the demand generation organizations. This person will partner with key stakeholders (Marketing, Sales, Corporate Communications, Healthcare Economics Organization, Corporate Accounts, Ethicon Surgery Institute, and CPO) to build digital communications tactics in alignment with the digital strategy and to ensure alignment to digital asset management processes as well as engaging with EES Brand Council and/or brand owners to create and manage linkage to corporate brand initiatives.The Digital Strategy Group Director will collaborate with IT and WW Communications counterparts/partners on development and execution of the digital strategy and develop in-depth understanding of current trends in digital communications that are relevant to EES and our key stakeholders. A minimum of a Bachelors degree is required. A Masters level degree is preferred.A minimum of 8 years of related business experience is required. A minimum of 5 years marketing experience or related functional experience is also required.Experience with Interactive Marketing is required. Experience with emerging media is required. Experience creating an External Digital Marketing Strategy is required. Must have strong influence skills, especially the ability to influence across multiple levels without authority, as will as to be an agent of change. Must also have very strong collaboration skills with cross-functional partnership. Medical device or healthcare industry organization experience preferred. Leadership experience is required. Approximately 10-20% domestic travel is required.
