Desktop Support

Desktop Engineer opportunity available! Our client, a biotech company located in Cambridge, is in need of someone with strong technical support troubleshooting skills, the ability to work in a very fast-paced environment and the desire to work in a small, entrepreneurial environment. This is a contract to hire position and we are looking for someone who can start immediately.

 

Responsibilities will include:

· Provide support to 270 local and remote users via phone, email and in-person visits.

· Resolve a variety issues including connectivity, MS Office, email, internet, hardware, Blackberry

· Imaging and other projects as necessary

 

Requirements:

· Minimum of 3 years of experience in a HelpDesk/Desktop support role supporting at least 200 users.

· Strong troubleshooting of Windows 2000/XP

· Dell hardware experience

· Ghost or Acronis imaging

· As many of the following as possible: Symantec, Exchange, Cisco VPN, Blackberry, Veritas Netbackup, Citrix

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Strong prioritization skills.

· Ability to work with minimal supervision… if you need a lot of hand holding this is not for you!
