Demand Specialist

The Demand Specialist supports the activities of the monthly Sales and Operations Planning processes, manages the generation, analysis & distribution of Watson’s Customer Service Metrics and administers the Company’s Product Donation program. In addition, the Demand Specialist is also responsible for managing the change request process for system improvements in the SAP VMI, S&OP & BW modules as they relate to the Demand Management Department.This position will primarily focus on, but is not limited to, the following:Prepares weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc reports and analyses in support of S&OP andDemand Management initiatives. Manages the offering and fulfillment of short-dated inventory to approved charitable organizations, ensuring that all regulatory and internal policies are followed throughout the process. Analyzes inventory aging reports and develops recommendations to reduce the losses incurred due to product short-dating with cost-effective alternatives. Participates in special projects, focusing on optimizing the planning processes within the Company, in support of S&OP and Demand Management Initiatives. Administers the SAP S&OP data and reports, including, updating the S&OP data, generating reports and communicating systems status to end-users. Ensures compliance with all Company policies and procedures, including safety rules and regulations. Performs related duties as assigned.QualificationsThis position requires knowledge of Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and other regulatory requirements as well as World Health Organization regulations. Skill in analyzing problems, identifying alternative solutions, and recommending and implementing methods, procedures and techniques for resolution. Demonstrated competency in SAP, BW and Excel a must. Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. Establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with others. Managing and prioritizing multiple projects, duties and tasks in a fast paced environment while adhering to tight deadlines.
