Perrigo is the world's largest manufacturer of over-the-counter pharmaceutical and nutritional products for the store brand and contract manufacturing markets and an emerging developer, manufacturer and marketer of prescription generic drugs.DescriptionReporting to the Director of Marketing Information, this position is responsible for conducting in-depth business analysis to deliver accurate demand forecasts, improved annual business planning, and assist with identifying significant new business opportunities for the $1B Perrigo Consumer Healthcare segment. Using internal Perrigo SAP data and external POS data, this position will facilitate an improved process within Marketing Category Management to gather and track demand information to substantially improve the accuracy of the company demand forecast. This facilitation will result in better decisions relative to business planning, production planning, and financial forecasts for the Consumer Healthcare business.Primary responsibilities:• Works closely with Marketing, Sales, and Demand Management resources to track and measure customer demand requirements• Bridge the gap between Perrigo Shipment/Demand data and POS data and to ensure that forecasts better tie to market demand and trends• Supports new item forecasts for Perrigo Marketing• Develops and improves processes, tools, and methodologies, and performs training to increase department capabilities• Facilitate customer focused meetings to determine appropriate demand and supply balancing• Will work to consolidate a unit and dollar forecasts at the category/product level to ensure that product forecast are inline with customer demand and market trends• Performs analysis of trends, product performance and sales plan effectiveness• Prepares Sales and Operations Planning meeting documents, attends meetings and makes presentations as designated • Serves as a key resource in gathering information from Marketing Category Management, Sales, Marketing Information, and Demand Management to develop the annual business plan• Support Marketing Category Managers in identifying business opportunities by performing in-depth analysis using syndicated and internal data sources (e.g. distribution voids, large size opportunities, new product opportunities, est.)Required Skills• Demonstrated ability to obtain and analyze data, work independently and meet deadlines within a fast-paced environment is critical• Ability to work within a team to help design and implement an improved process across several departments with an approach to the job that seeks continuous improvement to forecast accuracy• Working knowledge of Perrigo customers & products with the ability to develop and apply forecasting methods are necessary• Strong follow-up skills and self-initiative are necessary• A high level of proficiency in MS Office software is required - SAP experience is a plus• Strong group presentation skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills are neededRequired Experience• Minimum of 2 years conducting in-depth business analysis to deliver accurate demand forecasts that improved annual business planning.• Bachelor degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is required; strong analytical background preferred• Experience in working with syndicated (IRI, Nielsen) preferredPlease apply online at Perrigo's website: http://hostedjobs.openhire.com/epostings/jobs/submit.cfm?fuseaction=dspjob&jobid=282412&company_id=15620&jobboardid=24The policy of the Perrigo Company has been and continues to be to provide and ensure equal advancement and employment opportunities for all qualified individuals without unlawful discrimination based on race, national origin, religion, sex, age, height, weight, non-disqualifying disability, veteran or marital status.
