ABOUT CARITAS CHRISTI PHYSICIAN NETWORK (CCPN):
CCPN is a physician-led practice organization with over 700 employees in total and comprised of over 400 employed and 950 independent physician’s. Our practices are both hospital and community based with over 70 in the hospital setting and close to 20 in private practice locations. Owned and operated by Caritas Christi Health Care Our medical practices are conveniently located in communities across Massachusetts, providing primary and specialty care. Many of CCPN’s physicians hold academic appointments at Tufts University School of Medicine and all are deeply committed to providing health care in a community setting.
CCPN is reinventing itself and evolving to better meet the needs of its employees, Physician’s and the Caritas Christi Health Care System, under a new Executive Director and with renewed energy and focus.
Position Overview:
We have a very exciting, challenging and rewarding opportunity for a seasoned Marketing and PR professional. If you are at a juncture in your career where you are still charged by the prospect of building strategic Marketing and PR programs from the ground up we would love to talk to you. From a marketing perspective we need you to look at our organization and define what we need to do to get the Caritas Christi Physician Network brand and services better positioned from a service line and competitive vantage point. On the PR front, we need your expertise and connections in helping us increase visibility in the surrounding areas in addition to internal Caritas Christi initiatives. You will sit on the CCPN senior leadership team and will partner with the new Caritas Christi Physician Network Executive Director who recently joined us. You will enjoy her vision, energy and leadership style, which includes autonomy to be creative and achieve goals as well as a forward thinking approach.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute creative, results-driven marketing and public relations programs that contribute to the strategic plan of Caritas Christi Physician Network.
Assess Marketing Department needs, and direct and develop a small staff, accordingly.
Prepare news releases, determine appropriate outlets for distribution and strategize stories featuring our clinicians that can be pitched to targeted publications.
Lead communication effort on CCNS initiatives such as electronic health record implementation (EHR), population health focus, alignment of lives to the system (opportunity with the Connector’s Commonwealth Care), alignment of providers with the system, and other programs.
Work in concert with communications and marketing directors of all six hospitals to develop and implement marketing programs designed to build volume for their physicians, and facilitate physician relationship building to increase referrals from PCPs to specialists.
Produce newsletters, enhance, highlight, and promote CCPN’s Website, and produce other tools of communication and marketing events to promote CCPN activities, including physician office moves, grand openings, lecture series, and community events such as health screenings, etc.
Develop and oversee both operating and corporate budgets.
Expected Results:
Improved perceptions of CCPN in the communities served
Raising profile and awareness of CCPN and it’s services
Increased awareness and utilization of, and/or participation in, services, programs, etc. among targeted audiences
Greater volume and maximized revenue for primary care and specialty care practices among 30 locations throughout Eastern Massachusetts
Qualifications:
Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Business or other related field
10+ years of Marketing/Communications/PR experience within healthcare/hospitals, and preferably background with physician group practices.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, and good presentation and public speaking skills are required
The ideal candidate has organized larger campaigns and has utilized all forms of media.
In depth experience and knowledge of marketing materials and publications design, production and distribution process.
