Perrigo is the world's largest manufacturer of over-the-counter pharmaceutical and nutritional products for the store brand and contract manufacturing markets and an emerging developer, manufacturer and marketer of prescription generic drugs.DescriptionThis position is responsible for managing and building the US OTC Topical business, focusing on sales, marketing, strategy and implementation. The position reports to the Director of Contract/Cosmetic Sales.The incumbent develops new business opportunities, maintains contact with customer representatives and manages the status and expectations of each account. The incumbent would oversee Art, Customer Service, Project management and other departments to ensure that customer expectations are achievable and are met. The incumbent analyzes existing and anticipated customer requirements and promotes consideration of Perrigo products to fill such requirements. The incumbent monitors trends in assigned regions and for these customers and recommends promotional plans which may anticipate these trends and/or meet specific customer needs. The incumbent ensures volume and margin objectives for these accounts are achieved. The incumbent participates in sales planning, identifying opportunities and/or problems in assigned accounts which may impact the department’s sales plans. The incumbent receives requests from new customers in opportunistic regions, evaluates the viability of these accounts and recommends further contact or actions for review by sales management. The incumbent also provides support in developing projects, information and/or follow up with customers or internal resources as needed.Responsibilities:Create, build and implement marketing strategies and new business opportunitiesDevelop a targeted strategy for Topicals businessAnalyze market and trendsWork closely with the R&D and the Perrigo New York Topicals facilityInteract, create presentation materials and present to potential customer the product offerings and capabilities.Initiate product launches, with focus on the details of effectively managing the businessOversee logistical systems supporting this business unitGenerate reports, relevant information and presentations to Perrigo’s relevant managementRequired SkillsExcellent interpersonal skills are essential, including oral and written communication skills. Attention to detail and the ability to follow through on a variety of complex processes are necessary.
