Our client is a social marketing organization focused on family planning and HIV prevention with operations in 12 countries. We are currently conducting a search for a Country Director / Democratic Republic of the Congo in sub-Saharan Africa, who will establish the initial operation and drive it to success. The candidate can currently live in any country as long as he or she is willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

· The candidate will establish and run the company's new presence in a new country located in sub-Saharan Africa

· Although focused on family planning, HIV/ AIDS prevention will be an important aspect.

· This position is multifaceted and very independent; it includes full P&L responsibility and the need for sales, marketing, distributorship, operations, registration/ regulatory functions.

Qualifications

· Experience in social marketing is ideal but strong sales/ marketing/ commercialization experience in pharmaceuticals or OTC products in the capacity of a country manager or deputy country manager would be very workable.

· An entrepreneurial spirit and passion in providing family planning services is needed. Experience in sub-Saharan Africa is ideal but within other challenging third world countries would be sufficient.

· Leadership, independence, a sense of purpose, proven ability to handle broad and unpredictable responsibilities while pushing forward with goals and sales would all be important.  The candidate will have to have more of a feel of a leader and inspire confidence from our client than anything else.

Compensation includes a base of 100K USD, housing, auto, and high bonus potential.

For consideration, please email a Word formatted resume to slmd@landstonegroup.com with “Country Director - DRC” in the subject line of your email.
