Cost Accounting Manager
Biomet, a leading manufacturer of orthopedic devices, is seeking a Cost Accounting Manager. Will support the manufacturing organization from a financial perspective. Will direct activities of the Cost Accounting Group. Will partner with the VP of Operations on manufacturing initiatives. Conduct monthly review of results with the operations group. Partner with Global supply chain to develop KPI’s. Develop and monitor manufacturing KPI’s. Review monthly closing activities. Prepare annual cost of goods sold budget. Provide quarterly update to budgets. Implement and review internal controls in accordance with Sarbanes Oxley. Develop and monitor capital spending forecast. Develop monthly analyses of results comparing current plan and prior year. Conduct quarterly analysis of inventory reserves. Act as the liaison with corporate to supply cost savings data to the appropriate parties. Other projects as identified.
Must possess a Bachelors Degree in Accounting, CPA/CMA preferred. Must have 8-10 years of experience preferably in a manufacturing environment. Must have experience in implementing Sarbanes Oxley controls. Experience managing others. Must possess strong verbal, written and presentation skills. Excellent analytical and organizational skills required. Must have excellent pc skills, including Access, Excel, and PowerPoint. Â
