Clinical Research Student (203712)

The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine (HJF) is seeking a Clinical Research Student to support the Infectious Disease Clinical Research Program at the NavalMedical Centerin San Diego, California. This is a part-time to full-time, temporary position, with the Henry M. Jackson Foundation and the Infectious Disease Clinical Research Program. The job will be for 1-4 months in duration depending on the needs of the ongoing research studies. The responsibilities of the incumbent may include preparing for current and upcoming research studies (includes pulling patient charts, preparing study documents for patient visits, making copies of study documents, preparing lab specimens for shipment, etc.), obtaining literature from library/internet for research related purposes, and performing administrative tasks related to research. A critical component of this position will be to review patient charts for abstraction of clinical data.  You may also be asked to coordinate the purchasing of supplies and equipment.

Job Requirements: BS or MPH degree or related science/health care degree preferred (or in progress). Must be able to work between 25 and 40 hours per week between 7-5pm M-F.

Preferred Skills: Excellent communication skills. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Programs.
