Two positions available! SUMMARY Responsible for the primary accessioning of laboratory samples and providing laboratory testing support services.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties as assigned.Opens patient sample boxes and retrieves specimen for testingCorrectly identifies and/or labels patient specimen by verifying patient identification on the sample to that on test requisition, following standard operating proceduresAccurately sorts and files laboratory specimens and documents for storageInventories and prepares laboratory reagents according to SOP’sOrders tests requested in the laboratory information systemMaintain equipment used for reagent preparationMonitors and records measurements for all equipment bearing temperature chartsOrganizes patient specimens and assay worksheets for testingUtilizes scanning equipment to capture patient documents receivedRequired to follow all safety procedures, policies and precautions.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Position generally requires a High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 6+ months related experience. Data entry experience strongly preferred. Experience working in a CLIA/CAP or FDA regulated environment preferred. Required Skills: accessioning, blood processing, labelingPeople. Service.
