Celebrating more than 45 years of service, Lancaster Laboratories is a leading contract lab providing analytical and research services in the environmental and pharmaceutical sciences to clients worldwide.  Lancaster Laboratories, a nationally recognized analytical laboratory, has an outstanding opportunity for a Chemist to join our Professional Scientific Staffing group in Newark, DE.

 

This position is responsible for performing all laboratory testing on raw materials, packaging materials, finished products, stability samples, and environmental samples according to established laboratory procedures in the Quality Assurance Department.  This position may deal with parenteral as well as oral and topical pharmaceutical products and products that are produced on-site as well as various other US and International locations.

 

Major responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following: perform lab testing using diversified wet and instrumental chemical analyses (HPLC, FTIR, AA, UV, and GC) on raw materials, packaging materials, finished products, stability samples, or environmental samples under some supervision in a manner that is consistent with site-approved safety guidelines, compendial, and regulatory testing requirements, participate in activities to reduce recurring problems and improving lab RFT, throughput, and cycle time performance under general supervision, work with QA Analytical Services (QAAS) on the implementation of new or revised procedures and/or testing, demonstrate knowledge of methodology/instrumentation using notebooks, LIMS, and CDS while complying with all compendial and regulatory requirements, maintain working knowledge of applicable disciplines, work on special projects with general supervision, draft reports with assistance from others, train others on new and current equipment and procedures, work with other lab staff to write/update procedures and Test Methods, participate at the QA/Team meetings, participate in audits on behalf of the laboratories, revise SOPs and CMFs. Qualified candidates will possess a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or other related science. Must be self-motivated, team oriented, and have strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Relevant technical GMP experience is a plus.
