We currently have an opening for the Chemist II position here at Syntron Bioresearch, Inc.  The details for the position are as follows.

 

1.   Position Summary

To perform column purification and testing of monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies, antigen and antibody titrations to ensure high quality of product. To monitor work, direct work, plan work, determine work and distribute work to the production of drugs of abuse. To be responsible for the drug combinations and to ensure production meets all deadlines. To provide high quality customer service at all times.

 

2.   Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)

·  Performs column purification and testing of monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies.

·  Titrates Antigen/ Antibody.

·  Monitors production of drug combinations.

·  Prepares antibody/ antigen solutions.

·  Tests new products for quality binding.

·  Tests for cross-reactivity of drugs.

·  Addresses complaints from customers and gives detailed written responses.

·  Organizes production request to meet deadlines.

·  Monitors the flow of work in the Production Lab and Dry-Rooms.

·  Directs, plans, determines and distributes work to specific areas in the Production Lab and Dry Rooms as needed

·  Evaluates employee efficiency, productivity and safety in the Production Labs and Dry Rooms to ensure production of materials meets all deadlines.

 

3.   Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required to Perform the Job

Ability to problem-solve and multi-task; excellent organizational skills; familiarity with Microsoft programs. Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

 

4.   Education and/or Experience

B.S. in Biochemistry or related field. Experience in antibody/ protein purification a plus. At least six months of lead experience working in a Biochemistry Production Lab, and experience in directing work to an assembly line is preferred.

 

5.   Language Skills

Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English Language.  This department is multilingual.
