Position Description
Advanced Materials Technology is looking for an ambitious chemical technician with work experience or technical training to help in the manufacturing of high purity silica and production of High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) columns.
Â
The successful candidate will be trained in various chemical reactions and manufacturing methods to produce high purity silica from raw materials. The employee will also manufacture HPLC columns and be trained in quality control testing for the final product. The candidate will be asked to perform a host of operational activities including; labeling of final product, inventory management, and shipment to the customer.

The candidate will be trained in analytical methods including particle size analysis, specific surface area, pH, and liquid chromatography.

Musts:Ability to follow procedures closely experience setting-up mechanical hardware ability to maintain accurate and detailed records ability to work safely with potentially hazardous materials good communication skills, both written and verbal able to efficiently perform with minimal supervision

Desired:Experience operating analytical instruments: Coulter Counter, HPLC, Microscope, Surface Area Instrument, pH meter, etc. Familiarity with chemistry Basic computer skills Knowledge of problem solving skills

The successful candidate must have the necessary documentation to work in the United States and should be capable of safely working with chemicals and other hazardous materials.
