Cell Bank Investigator/Cell Bank Principal Scientist

Basic qualifications:
•D1 - PhD with five years relevant operational experience.
•D2 - PhD with three years relevant operational experience.
•Thorough knowledge of cell banking operations, including media preparation, equipment preparation, and testing
•Knowledgeable in cGMP, especially documentation, process, and equipment validation.
Preferred qualifications:
•Excellent troubleshooting/problem analysis skills, including Lean Sigma and Root Cause Analysis methodologies.
•Excellent written and oral communications skills.
•Excellent organizational and teamwork skills.
•Strong, proven interpersonal, managerial and leadership skills.
•Experienced in project management, including ability to prioritize and forward plan courses of action.
Details:
•Responsible for ensuring timely and successful manufacture and testing of cell banks as required to support GMP and development operations. Oversees or directly handles manufacture, testing, shipment, storage, and release activities, including inventory management.
•Coordinates activities between development and GMP Operations. Represents the department at and potentially leads BioPPD, Technology Transfer, and other multi-disciplinary teams.
•Leading role in monitoring the processes in Fermentation and/or Recovery Operations. Collects data, prepares a data base for process validation purposes. Analyzes results fully and recommends follow-up actions. Key participant in troubleshooting activities.
•Ensures that development and documentation are sufficient to support consistent production and regulatory filings. Prepares and/or approves documents for use in manufacturing. May also prepare documents for validation and regulatory purposes. Prepares and may approve SOP's in areas of expertise.
•Directs the development of technology essential to cell bank production. Solves process and equipment problems. Recommends equipment and procedures. Keeps aware of new technology developments.
