We are currently seeking an experienced Business Development Executive to join our Business Development team. This person should be located nearby on the East Coast.
Some of the responsibilities include: Generating new sales opportunities; Developing and managing assigned customer relationships; Following up on potential leads; Achieving sales targets for assigned customers; and Interfacing sales activities with internal resources.
The target customer dealt with for this position will be individuals/teams within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies with responsibilities for outsourcing clinical trials and clinical support services.
Requirements:
The candidate for this position should be someone with at least 3-5 years of experience in clinical research within a related sales and/or clinical research environment and a minimum of a Bachelors degree. A candidate with an established network of contacts within the industry is preferred. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, well-organized, results-oriented, customer-focused, have a strong understanding of the CRO/pharmaceutical industry,and possess excellent interpersonal and presentation skills. The applicant must also be reliable and have a track record of being a top performer. This position reports to the Executive Director of Marketing and Business Development.
The BD Executive position could require anywhere from 30-50 percent travel, depending on the location of the employee. Compensation is based on individual experience and is composed of a competitive base salary and generous variable compensation plan.
