Will Webster developed the first practical deflectable tip cardiac catheter some 30 years ago and later partnered with BWI's industry-leading innovations in visualizing intracardiac signals.Today we are recognized worldwide as an industry leader in developing innovative solutions to cardiac arrhythmias. Guided by the needs of electrophysiologists and their patients, we have pioneered innovative technology advancements ranging from the first deflectable tip catheter to the LASSO Circular Mapping Catheter to today's most sophisticated three-dimensional cardiac mapping and navigation systems. The Business Development Director will Maintain expertise in relevant markets, competitors and technologies as well as BWI strategies, programs and requirements. Proactively assess and recommend L&&A and strategic initiatives to optimize BWI&'s competitive position and financial results. Select and direct efforts of valuation team, which may include representatives from marketing, finance, R&&D, clinical and regulatory affairs, corporate legal, corporate treasury, and other functional representatives. Manage valuation of opportunities including market assessment, technology evaluation, intellectual property review, and evaluation of target, which may include extensive due diligence. Direct development of market and financial models. Negotiate agreements of reasonable complexity and importance to the company. Ensure thorough and timely drafting, review, and modification of agreement drafts. Direct development of materials required to gain negotiating and execution authorization. Present these materials, as appropriate, to BWI senior management, individuals in J&&J senior management, the Group Operating Committee, and/or the Executive Committee. Ensure that BWI functional areas are made aware of key agreement terms and drivers of value to prepare for successful implementation of agreements. Responsible for ensuring personal and company compliance with all Federal, State, local and company regulations, policies and procedures for Health, Safety and Environmental compliance. Responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition. Bachelor&'s Degree required; MBA-Technical or Clinical is preferred. A minimum of 7 years of related work experience is required; medical device experience preferred.
