Business Development Coordinator, Sales Supoort
Business Development Coordinators support the field-based sales force by providing back-up resource, in addition to managing some accounts themselves. The main objective of the position is to provide continuity of office-based customer service to clients, enabling the external sales team to concentrate on other business development activities. This is not a sales job.
Duties include: Liaise with multinational pharmaceutical companies to define their requirements for packaging of their products for clinical trials. Advising clients on technical aspects of clinical trial packaging. Generate detailed proposals to the client. This will involve liaising with several internal departments (Project Management, Operations, Design, Logistics, and Procurement) in order to generate price and lead time information to be presented within the proposal. Working with other departments and other Almac sites to ensure that clients’ requirements as expressed in the proposal are clearly understood. This will include following-up with clients to ensure that any uncertainties that existed at the time of proposal generation are confirmed before work commences. Revision of existing proposals in response to changes to client project specifications and ensuring internal departments are made aware of such changes. Liaising with the Engineering/Design and Operations Departments and clients to produce a packaging design that meets the needs of their study and can be produced efficiently on Almac production equipment. Working directly with suppliers or through purchasing to ensure that any externally purchased components meet the needs of the trial, are competitively priced, and arrive within the required timeframe.
This opportunity requires a BS/BA degree, inside sales experience, excellent oral and written skills and exceptional customer services skills. Pharmaceutical or clinical trials background a plus!Candidates responding to this posting must currently possess the eligibility to work in the United States.Successfully pass drug screen, employment, education, & criminal background checks.Candidates debarred/prohibited from employment in the pharmaceutical industry under the Generic Drug Enforcement Act of 1992 are not eligible for employment with Almac.
