Medical/HealthMedical/Health|PharmacyBiotechnology/PharmaceuticalsEntry LevelPharmacy Technician / Clinical PharmacistSanovia hr@sanovia.comHR Pharmacy TechnicianBilingual (English and Spanish)Job Summary:- The Pharmacy Technician will process prior authorization requests for prescription medications using an electronic application and decision trees. - The Pharmacy Technician should have demonstrated experience in a clinical support role to ensure that logical clinical pathways drive patient care and ultimately the appropriate utilization of pharmaceuticals.- The Pharmacy Technicians' duties may include communication with clients and health care providers by performing the following duties. - The Pharmacy Technician may be involved in developing reports and supporting client presentations or account services.- The Pharmacy Technician does not interpret or evaluate clinical information.Primary Responsibilities:1.Reviews authorization requests for select pharmaceuticals to determine if all of the required information for processing has been received2.Enters authorization request into the Sanovia roprietary system3.Makes outgoing calls to providers to obtain additional information as needed4.Sends notices to providers and insurers regarding the approval of authorization requests5.Attends monthly meetings as required by URAC6.Other duties as required by Sanovia Corporation Required Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education diploma (GED)Bilingual in English & Spanish, with fluency in Spanish dialect unique to Puerto RicoOne year Pharmacy and/or Managed Care experience or equivalent combination of education and experienceExcellent oral and written communication skillsAbility to work effectively in a team environmentAbility to comprehend role of technology in pharmacyDesired Education/Training and/or Experience:1.Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)2.College degree preferably in health related field3.Prior experience working with Sanovia Corporation applications4.Prior experience in pharmacy utilization management5.Strong database management skillsBasic Competency Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

The Clinical Pharmacist will work on a team that is responsible for all clinical pharmacy programs for Sanovia clients.-The Clinical Pharmacist will work directly with Sanovia clients including health plans, government payors, channel partners and their intermediaries to develop, implement, and provide services to support pharmacy programs.-The Clinical Pharmacist will perform prior authorization, utilization management related services, analyze utilization information, develop and revise clinical decision modules and provide clinical support to expand Sanovia's capabilities.-The Clinical Pharmacist will also have a role to author pharmacy-related topics for publication.Primary Responsibilities1. Clinical role in Prior Authorization process2. Clinical support for Pharmacy Technicians3. Provide support on all clinical issues4. Perform utilization research and reviews5. Perform drug research and reviews6. Perform formulary research and analysis7. Design various clinical materials designed to educate providers, members, and internal staff8. Other duties as required by Sanovia CorporationRequired Education and/or ExperienceBSPharm or Pharm. D. from Accredited United States College of PharmacyBilingual in English & Spanish, with fluency in Spanish dialect unique to Puerto RicoValid State License to practice pharmacyTwo years Pharmacy and/or Managed Care experienceExcellent oral and written communication skillsAbility to evaluate clinical data and develop strategies to enhance Pharmaceutical CareAbility to comprehend role of technology in pharmacyJob Desc Clinical Pharmacist_biling .docDesired Education/Training and/or Experience1.
