Ronco Pharmacy located in a medical building providing 400+ prescriptions daily in the Tarzana for 10 years is currently looking for a Pharmacist and Pharmacy Technician to join their team.

 

Ronco Pharmacy Hours are Monday through Friday 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM

 

Pharmacist

Pharmacist Job Purpose:

Serves patients by preparing medications; giving pharmacological information to multidisciplinary health care team; monitoring patient drug therapies.

 

Pharmacist Duties: Prepares medications by reviewing and interpreting physician orders; detecting therapeutic incompatibilities. Dispenses medications by compounding, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals. Controls medications by monitoring drug therapies; advising interventions. Completes pharmacy operational requirements by organizing and directing technicians' work flow; verifying their preparation and labeling of pharmaceuticals; verifying order entries, charges, and inspections. Provides pharmacological information by answering questions and requests of health care professionals; counseling patients on drug therapies. Develops hospital staff's pharmacological knowledge by participating in clinical programs; training pharmacy staff, students, interns, externs, residents, and health care professionals. Complies with state and federal drug laws as regulated by the state board of pharmacy, the drug enforcement administration, and the food and drug administration by monitoring nursing unit inspections; maintaining records for controlled substances; removing outdated and damaged drugs from the pharmacy inventory; supervising the work results of support personnel; maintaining current registration; studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; advising management on needed actions. Protects patients and technicians by adhering to infection-control protocols. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Maintains pharmacological knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

 

Pharmacist Skills/Qualifications: Bilingual English /  Russian Speaking Preferred 5+ Years Retail or Closed Door Pharmacy Experience 3+ Years Management Experience Analyzing Information, Administering Medication, Judgment, Verbal Communication, FDA Health Regulations, Pharmacology, Managing Processes, Legal Compliance, Productivity, Quality Focus, Attention to Detail

 

Pharmacy Technician

Pharmacy Technician Job Purpose:

Supports pharmacological services by stocking, assembling, and distributing medications.

 

Pharmacy Technician Duties: Helps health care providers and patients by greeting them in person and by phone; answering questions and requests; referring inquiries to the pharmacist. Maintains pharmacy inventory by checking pharmaceutical stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed medications and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt; removing outdated drugs. Maintains a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols. Organizes medications for pharmacist to dispense by reading medication orders and prescriptions; preparing labels; calculating quantities; assembling intravenous solutions and other pharmaceutical therapies. Maintains records by recording and filing physicians' orders and prescriptions. Generates revenues by calculating, recording, and issuing charges. Ensures medication availability by delivering medications to patients and departments. Prepares reports by collecting and summarizing information. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

 

Pharmacy Technician Skills/Qualifications: Must have 5 Year Retail Experience Bilingual English /  Russian Preferred Must be able to type 50+ words per minute Supply Management, Organization, Integrity, Reporting Skills, Attention to Detail, Dependability, Creating a Safe, Effective Environment, Quality Focus, Supply Management, Analyzing Information, Informing Others, and Hard Working
