Major Accountabilities Optimizes development and execution of biomarker strategies 1. Assures BMD support to disease area portfolio(s), identifies opportunities for BMD deliverables into biomarker strategies, in collaboration with LF and Translational Medicine2. Lead and drives decision-making on BMD engagement and prioritization by assembling LF and external inputs; communicates consolidated action plan to stakeholders3. With LF, optimizes BMD representation on GPT - ED Subteam, and ED (Pre-PoC) project team4. Facilitates and drives strong collaboration within the LF and project teams.5. Liaises proactively with ED project teams to assure implementation of biomarker strategies; utilizes technical leadership and influence to constructively challenge biomarker strategies. 6. Advises and mentors junior associates within biomarker units on strategic applications of bio-markers and project management.Represents Biomarker Development with key boards/stakeholders7. Represents and leads Biomarker Development activities and capabilities as (ad hoc) partici-pant on DA and Franchise Boards; delivers biomarkers summaries and recommendations for review.8. Liaises with NV&D and external diagnostic companies to assures that biomarkers with diag-nostic and theranostic potential are developed to maximize their potential commercial value.Represents Biomarker Development externally9. Manages and coordinates Health Authorities engagements (HA) in matters related to bio-marker development and use. 10. Manages the preparation/presentation of all external representations (e.g., Biomarker Consor-tia). By knowledge, style and personal skill advances the interests of Novartis and enhances position of corporation with these individuals and groups.
