The Packaging Systems Engineering group in the Global Operations Engineering utilizes all aspects of conceptual engineering design, equipment and system installation and start up, and successful transition of the system to the plant operating and maintenance staff. The job incumbent will be required to provide extensive hands on support for high speed wrapping machines. This requires extensive inter-working knowledge of the machines. The applicant should have strong hands on mechanical skills and have experience in assembling and rebuilding high speed machines or engines. This position provides the opportunity to travel up to 80% of the time and to work in Hershey's network of plants worldwide. The individual will receive training in Europe and will have the opportunity to live in Western Europe for up to 6 months during the training phase. Once the training phase is complete the individual will be based out of Hershey PA. * The key technical specialist in The Hershey Company to maintain, troubleshoot/diagnose equipment issues, develop robust maintenance schedules and establish a cross-functional technical training program for high speed automation packaging equipment in multiple manufacturing facilities, domestic and international. * Domestic and international travel for continuing education, training, business conferences, equipment maintenance, multi-business interface liaison on high speed packaging equipment for The Hershey Company. * Hands-on expertise to design maintain high speed automation components, including PLC's, HMI's, industrial electrical & electronic instrumentation, servo's, automation & process controls, industrial computer systems, motor controls, distributed control systems and other automation, electrical power, computer and control technologies. Education:   A degree from an accredited college / university, technology school or relative engineering experience in the field of high speed machines and / or engine design. Experience:   Minimum of 6-8 years experience in the assembling / rebuilding high speed machines and or engines. • The position will require extensive domestic and international travel up to 80% at times to support the on-going business needs of the corporation. Initial training may also require temporary relocation to Western Europe for up to 6 months.   • Incumbent should possess the appropriate combinations of knowledge and experience in the design, application, and maintenance of: Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC's); HMI's, electrical and electronic industrial instrumentation; servo's; automation and process control; industrial computer systems; motor control; distributed control systems; and other automation, electrical power, computer, and control technologies. • The incumbent must have demonstrated experience with high speed machine and equipment design. • The Incumbent must possess the appropriate knowledge of servo control technology.   If interested, please apply online at http://track.jobviper.com/ViewJob.asp?id=563616-3-363 Interested?
