Associate Scientist, Screening/Assay Development

Sirtris, a GSK company, is developing small molecule drugs that target the sirtuins, a recently discovered family of seven enzymes associated with the aging process. Modulation of these enzymes offers the promise of drug discovery in multiple therapeutic areas.

In this newly created position, you will be responsible for developing and running in vitro  enzyme assays in support of small molecule drug discovery efforts.

 

BS/MS with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in enzyme assay development, validation, data analysis, and screening in a biotechnology or pharmaceutical company.  Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively through oral and written presentations is important and you must be a self-starter and independent.
