Description:

 

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated biologist to contribute to the development and application of innovative mouse model for cancer therapeutics.  The incumbent will conduct research both in vivo and in vitro and be responsible for the following:

 

·  Histopathological characterization of tumors (IHC);

·  Pathway analysis of tumor specimen (Western-blot, RT-PCR, Elisa);

·  Vector construction;

·  Cell culture;

·  Animal work (i.e. Mice handling, dosing, tissue collection) – 20% of the time.

 

 

Requirements:

 

·  Bachelor's degree in Biology/ Molecular Biology or equivalent; Master’s degree is preferred.

·  5+ years of experience in academic/ industrial setting; experience in cancer biology is needed.

·  In depth background histopathology, immunohistochemistry and viral biology.

·  Hands-on experience with small animals, such as small animal survival surgery, compound dosing, and tissue collection.

·  Expertise in standard molecular biology/cell biology including but not limited to cloning, cell culture, RT-PCR and Western-blot hybridization is required.

·  Attention to detail, good organizing skill and good communication skills are essential.

·  Ability to multi-task, trouble-shoot and provide mentoring to junior associates.
