Associate Sales Representative

The Associate Sales Representative is an entry level position that generates new business by selling our Diagnostic products and Laboratory-based drug screening and clinical services to multiple target markets that include but are not limited to: Corporations, Occupational Medicine Clinics, Hospitals, Correction facilities, Federal, State and local government entities and Physician offices. The primary focus of this position is growing business in target markets via inside sales methodologies.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBLITIES:Develop a specialized knowledge of products and services specific to the target markets; gain a complete understanding of workplace arena, Government arena, laboratory based screening and confirmation, POCT devices and alternative matrices. Perform tasks directly related to the business development of assigned products in specific geographic areas and/or specific markets; follow the designated business plan to meet required sales goals and objectives. Develop, enhance and support relationships with partner organizations. Assist with client issues regarding products, services, supply orders, pricing and billing; interact with laboratory operations and product technical support in resolving client concerns or complaints.  Maintain and monitor client database, sets up and updates client accounts and submits reports to management through the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, Maximizer, and Clientele software programs. Work with Account Managers and Business Development managers on sales and service issues; assist clients with placing orders for products and/or services.  Work with the marketing department on sales and marketing campaigns. Occasionally attends professional tradeshows and meets with clients regarding products and services. Seek out information applicable to target market. Other sales-related duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s degree and 1-2 years related technical sales experience preferred (or commensurate experience without degree). Excellent interpersonal and business communication skills. Strong written communication skills with ability to write business correspondence. Spanish speaking skills highly desired although not required. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. Ability to represent MEDTOX to external clients in a positive fashion. Excellent customer service and problem solving skills. Displayed success at meeting and exceeding goals. Desire to work in a fast paced, growing organization. Good computer skills and experience using Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with CRM systems/client databases a plus.
