Serves as core team member for larger projects. Working in a supervisory capacity, coaches the technical evolution of the work product and reviews client deliverables for compliance with project specifications.

Reviews projects for statistical analysis of clinical trials data, including development of statistical analysis plan; creating tables, listings, and graphs; sample size estimation; randomization schedules; and other relevant tools
Serves on corporate committees and/or projects as appropriate and works on internal projects
Ensures that Statistics personnel have the necessary training and resources to carry out their assigned responsibilities
Develops and motivates, both individually and collectively, a statistics team capable of meeting current and future project assignments 
Ensures that managers have a common understanding of each project's scope, objectives, timeline and tasks and that the project is executed accordingly
Acts as project manager for stand-alone work, and for data management and statistics projects, and works with members of the project team
Serves as core team member for the projects comprising a program, which includes supervising the initiation, planning, and execution of all statistics related tasks awarded to the department per contract as well as monitoring and projecting the operational and financial status of the Statistics department's portion of the contract
Coordinates detailed initiation, planning, and execution of statistics phase of project with core team members from other departments and with the project manager
Creates and monitors statistic specific project plans for assigned studies and assists the project manager in integrating the statistics portion with the overall project plan
All other projects as assigned Required Skills


Advanced degree from accredited college or university, in statistics or closely related field or minimum of BA/BS in statistics or directly related field from an accredited college or university plus commensurate experience
Good communication skills (written and oral)
Ability to effectively communicate with others on the project team and in the department; strong interpersonal communication skills
Detail oriented, well organized
Ability to work on several projects simultaneously
Demonstrated knowledge of design of clinical trials and regulatory requirements Required Experience


Minimum seven years experience (or five years plus Ph.D.) in pharmaceutical development and working knowledge of SAS for statistical analysis
