Associate Biologist
Immediate opportunity in the Viral Biochemistry group requiring a BS/MS in Virology, Immunology or relevant discipline. Minimum of 2+ years hands-on experience working with E. coli preferred; experience with sterile techniques also preferred.
The successful candidate will support research efforts in broad fields to include virology, immunology, etc. Working knowledge of immunological assays, such as ELISA, ELISPOT, FACS, multiplexing assays, radioimmune assays desired. In addition to supporting virology research, the successful individual will maintain instrumentation, collect and analyze data using statistical analysis software and assist with report development.
Good organizational and communication skills and the ability to work successfully in a team environment required. Individuals who will enter BSL-2/BSL-3 labs must: satisfactorily meet medical requirements; obtain required vaccinations; pass and maintain in depth security and background checks, including, but not limited to, clearance to handle select agents; wear required PPE; and have effective communication skills.
