The Analytical Chemist at Micron Technologies, a division of Berwind Pharmaceutical Services, Inc. performs analytical testing in support of production and contract analytical services. Ultimately, the position is responsible for accurate testing with emphasis on in-process particle size analysis, HPLC analysis, ID testing, controlled supply testing, and cleaning verification.

Required Skills

Requirements
Minimum of 1 year experience working in a lab environment
HS Diploma or GED required, BS preferred
Document all testing, deviations, investigations etc. as per cGMP and MTI guidelines.
Perform routine maintenance and conduct performance verification testing on analytical equipment.
Perform analytical testing on external sample submissions. Such testing may include, but is not limited to: particle size analysis, surface area analysis, dissolution, HPLC analysis, DSC, XRPD, compendial testing etc.
Prepare written test reports summarizing all analytical results derived in support of MTI Operations or external sample submissions.
Conduct peer review of raw data/documentation.
Communicate in-process testing results to Operations personnel in a timely manner.
Maintain a clean, safe working environment. Responsibilities may include: glassware cleaning, solvent/sample disposal etc.
Attend technical, cGMP or safety training courses/seminars as appropriate.
Prepare and/or review SOP’s, test methods, protocols etc.
Perform miscellaneous administrative tasks in support of daily laboratory operations. Such tasks may include ordering supplies, conducting inventory, sample tracking/login etc.
