Summary:
Seeking office professional to coordinate the accounts receivable, credit and collection efforts of the Accounting Department.
Responsibilities: Check and process remittances and follow up discrepancies Process returned goods Investigate the credit status of prospective, new and present customers Establish and process such ratings as to credit to conform to the company’s credit policy Review delinquent accounts and telephone, send form letters and statements to customers regarding payment Compose and follow up with collection and adjustment letters regarding terms of payment Analyze accounts and recommend collection procedures should existing transactions prove ineffective Determine and arrange collection procedures for delinquent accounts Conduct all correspondence, maintain records, etc. related to collection efforts Maintain credit rating files, and within established limits, authorize or disapprove credit on sales Prepare reports for outside representatives regarding customer’s credit rating and advise on company policy regarding credit Prepare paperwork for Market Development Funding, discounts and returns
Skills needed:
Accounts Receivable/Collections Experience (2-5+ years)Professional demeanor
Excellent written and oral communication skills (including professional telephone skills)
Computer skills including MS Excel and MS Word a must. Great Plains and EDI knowledge – helpful. Problem solving skills
Troubleshooting computer issues
Self-starter with a “can do” attitude
Accurate
Effective team member
