Accounts Receivable Associate

MEDTOX Laboratories, located in St. Paul, is a drug testing and esoteric clinical laboratory with a focus on technology, quality and service to our clients. Established in 1983, MEDTOX is now the nation's third largest SAMHSA-certified drug testing laboratory. We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Associate interested in contributing to our rapidly growing organization.

 

The Accounts Receivable Associate will provide clients information regarding invoices and application of payment.

 

Primary Responsibilities:Research and respond to client inquiries regarding billing disputes. Research and resolve short paid accounts with regard to pending pricing/credit issues. Research and resolve pricing invoices. Receive, verify and post payments made to accounts and prepare bank deposit. Prepare and mail or fax special or updated invoices per client or department request.Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:High school or equivalent education with 2 to 3 years related experience or Bachelor’s degree with 1 to 2 years related experience. Two years of customer service experience is preferred Intermediate to advanced in Microsoft Office applications – especially Excel and Word 10 key proficient and able to type 40 wpm Knowledge of general accounting practices and application; strong mathematical skills Strong interpersonal and listening skills; able to work with other departments internally in an effective and timely manner Able to multi-task; strong organization skills and attention to detail
