Accounts Payable Clerk
The International Partnership for Microbicides (IPM) is a global product development partnership (PDP) which presents a dynamic and innovative approach to preventing HIV transmission in women worldwide. IPM garners support from world-class funders — including the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and numerous foreign governments — to develop and deliver a safe and effective microbicide for use by women, especially those in developing countries.
The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for managing the prompt and accurate processing of IPM’s vendor invoices. Specifically, the clerk will prepare invoices for entry into the accounting system; ensure accurate invoice tracking; process vendor invoices, purchase orders and international and local wire transfers.
Education, Experience and AbilitiesPrior experience as a data entry clerk processing Accounts Payable vouchers or related data in an accounting computer system.High School Diploma or equivalentProficiency in Solomon Accounting software or any other accounting software is desired.Strong organization, planning, and problem-solving skills.Strong results orientation, i.e., the ability to work at a fast pace and meet critical deadlinesAbility to understand and control confidential information with absolute discretion.Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and Power Point) Solomon and Quick Books, Web-based research and information collection skills.
