Account Manager - Process Solutions

Chronos Consulting's client provides process solutions that improve the productivity and profitability of global industrial facilities. They offer a full range of automation and control solutions to key vertical markets, including Energy, Oil & Gas, Food Manufacturing and Chemicals/Pharmaceuticals. They develop/market industrial automation systems and advanced software applications. We are seeking a seasoned Account Manager who will assist the organization in sustaining growth, as well as revitalizing existing accounts.
Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, you will cover the Northwest area of the United States. Primary responsibilities include developing, managing, and maintaining End User relationships with customers in your territory. Interfacing regularly with OEM's, Distributors and VAR's, to ensure needs are met.
The Role:
Position a broad range of solutions including DCS, system integration and services for customers' immediate and emerging requirements.
Meet or exceed annual sales goals and revenue plans, which contribute to divisional profit and growth objectives.
Consistently identify new business opportunities at existing and potential customers, both direct sales and through distribution channels
Develop and execute sales plans for key accounts that are linked to the organization's market strategies.
Spend a majority of time with customers focusing on, maintaining strong relationships with the key decision-makers, uncovering new business opportunities, recommending differentiated solutions, negotiating to win business and providing post-sale support.
The Person:
Professional Engineer or Engineering Technologist (APEGGA or ASET), or equivalent, with a BS Degree or technical equivalent in sales/marketing or engineering preferred.
Minimum 5 years of proven success in a complex sales environment, preferably in selling system solutions, software and/or services, process automation, applications or information technology.
Proven ability to meet or exceed quotas, combined with a solid technical background in process control, advanced applications and/or plant information systems.
Direct sales experience of PLC, DCS and industrial controls with demonstrated success in developing accounts and winning new business in complex solutions environment.
Solid business knowledge of the energy sector, including selling into Chemical, Refining and Oil & Gas customers
Experience communicating effectively with industrial plant management, senior management and VP’s of current and prospective customers
