Academic Sales Associate - Eastern Region

Territory will be the East Coast and include all Academic, Medical, and Non-Profit organizations. Sales Representative will renew licenses with existing customers, cross-sell and upsell existing customers with additional licenses and services, and acquire new customers. Essential Duties and Respon sibilities· Contacting potential leads on the telephone and working with them to understand their scientific and technical needs and ensure positive experience with application trial.· Qualifying leads based on funding, authority and time frame to understand and create a tractable sales opportunity.· Quoting qualified leads, then following up and closing sales opportunity.· Identifying new leads from within existing accounts by contacting existing customers and asking for referrals.· Identifying efficiency gaps in the trial and sales pipeline, and working with sales management to identify and implement solutions. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:· Experience in selling life sciences research products (preferably software) over the phone is a plus.· Self-motivated and independent.· Aggressive and confident. Education and Work Experience:· Bachelors or Masters degree in Biology or Chemistry required.· At least three (3) year of Sales experience with average of 40+ calls per day. TO APPLY:  Please use the following link to submit your resume: http://tbe.taleo.net/NA6/ats/careers/requisition.jsp?org=INGENUITYSYSTEMS&cws=1&rid=54
