ADME Position - Associate Director/Sr. Principal Scientist

CoMentis is engaged in the discovery and development of innovative small-molecule drugs to treat neurodegenerative and neurovascular diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease and cognitive disorders. Work activities for this exciting position are centered on design and execution of ADME studies to support small molecule structure-based drug discovery and development for treatment of Alzheimer's disease. This individual should possess broad based expertise in drug metabolism research (in vitro and in vivo), multispecies in vivo experimentation (rodent, large animal and possibly human) and experience applying pharmacokinetic methods and analysis to drug metabolism. Experience in quantitative bioanalytical methodologies (LC, HPLC, and mass spectrometry, etc), metabolite ID methodology, PK/PD analysis, assessment of oral bioavailability, CNS penetration, interspecies scaling and radiolabelled quantitative drug distribution technologies are highly desirable. Knowledge of formulation science would be a plus. Emphasis will be on preclinical studies with some interaction with clinical data and modeling possible. Predictive metabolism and pharmacokinetic interpretation is an objective for the position.

The candidate will have a Ph.D or PharmD in drug metabolism/pharmacokinetics or closely related field. The individual should have 10 years of experience in a pharmaceutical research setting. Position requires strong communication, inter-personal and problem-solving skills, computer skills and capability to work independently with direction from management team.
