7 on, 7 off Evening Pharmacist

Are you interested in having free time to spend with your family and your hobbies? If yes, we have an excellent hospital pharmacist position for you. This is a clinical / staff pharmacist position working the evening shift on a 7 on, 7 off schedule.

 

As a pharmacist, you will:

 

Review and interpret patient medication orders to identify inappropriate doses, therapeutic and chemical incompatibilities, potential allergic reactions, therapeutic duplications and determines that the therapy is consistent with the patient's general treatment goals.

 

Resolve all communication and clinical issues with the prescriber or responsible physician.

 

Prepare and dispense medications according to departmental policies and procedures and accordance with state and federal laws.

 

Utilize pharmacy and hospital computer systems to process medication orders, run routine programs, generate necessary reports, and monitor patient drug therapy and related parameters. -Participates in formal clinical monitoring, D.U.E and dosing service activities as needed. -Provides direct supervision for pharmacy technician activities.

 

Provide product and clinical information as requested by the hospital medical and clinical staffs.

 

Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients.
