No one can do what Countrywide can.SM" * As ranked for 2005 by Inside Mortgage Finance (Jan. 27, 2006), © 2006** As ranked for 2005 by Inside Mortgage Finance (Jan. 27, 2006), © 2006Workout Negotiator II  Primary Responsibilities Include:·  Communicating regularly and effectively with mortgagors that are seriously delinquent in order to identify and counsel borrowers on best workout options available·  Negotiating workouts with all involved parties (borrowers, investors / insurers, brokers etc.) from initial workout request to final close of workout·  Obtaining all necessary documentation from mortgagors, etc. and coordinating workouts with applicable internal departments, when necessary·  Handling a more complicated level of workout cases such as loan modifications, partial claims and short sales·  Providing proper and timely response to mortgagor's correspondence according to RESPA guidelines and communicating regularly and effectively with other departments and other companies·  Completing documentation of workout efforts (including communications, reason for default, workout/payment plans, updated phone numbers and mailing addresses)·  Completing research and follow up on critical or irate issues for the team leader as assigned. Also assists Workout Negotiator 1 with problem accounts, complaint calls and correspondence A Successful Candidate Will Have:·  High school diploma and/or equivalent·  1+ years related experience·  Must be detail oriented, self-motivated, and have ability to organize assigned work·  Must be a team player·  Must have excellent comprehension, listening, negotiating and verbal communication skills. Strong analytical skills·  Must have effective written communication skills as well as basic mathematical skills·  Must be able to multi-task and follow assignments to completion as well as maintain organization and manage time effectively·  Knowledge of mortgage banking, specifically VA, FHA, FNMA, FHLMC and Conventional loan servicing·  Knowledge and familiarity with TILA, RESPA, FCRA as well as state and federal laws relating to financial privacy, fair lending, collections, bankruptcy, workout, foreclosure, payoffs and assumptions·  Ability to work with a variety of people with different levels of comprehension on how loans work and the consequences of their actions·  Ability to assist Workout Negotiator 1 with answering questions and assisting with complaint/irate calls·  PC proficient including Word and Excel·  Typing speed - minimum 30 wpm and 10 key by touch·  Ability to navigate Countrywide's AS400 skills A Successful Candidate Will Have:·  College courses in Business, Finance or other related field Countrywide is committed to leveraging the talent of a diverse workforce to create great opportunities for our business and our people.
