Windows System Administrator-TIS

The IT Technology Infrastructure Services (TIS) division is responsible for all technology infrastructure services across Credit Suisse. This division reports in to the CIO (EXB). The division consists of several departments, for example Global Datacentre Operations, Servers and Storage, End User Platforms and Networks.

Investment Banking Divisional Systems (IBDS) is client aligned to Fixed Income, Equities, Derivatives, Prime Services, Securities Processing, and Banking and Client IT. IBDS represents all aspects of infrastructure to our clients in the Investment Bank. As part of the Technology Infrastructure Services (TIS) group, we provide our clients in the Investment Bank with a single point of contact for infrastructure requirements, and create and maintain transparency of the services we deliver.

The Windows Server Team is responsible for maintaining a stable Windows environment to support front and back Investment Bank activities.

Windows Systems Administrator serves as a member of a team. Majority of responsibility is carrying out daily tasks. Individual is expected to be adept in one or more technologies as required.


Responsibilities include 24x7 support for keeping the mission critical infrastructure up 100% of the time, providing day to day technical and developer support and working with Global Engineering, Global Network Services and Global Information Security Office in developing and implementing global standards.  Additional responsibilities include building and supporting the Disaster Recovery initiatives of the firm and ensuring Infrastructure compliance against Credit Suisse security baseline and Audit requirements as well as conforming to Federal Regulatory requirements.

•Required 3 years of experience in Operating systems: Windows 2003, Windows 2000 & Windows NT.
•Required 3 years of experience in System Software: RAID, MS
•Clustering, Veritas Netbackup, Veritas Volume Manager, NetIQ
•Required 3 years of experience in DNS, WINS
•Required 3 years of experience in Performance monitoring,
•troubleshooting
•Required 3 years of experience in Networking: Routing, TCP/IP, SNMP
•Knowledge of SAN technology and its impact on the server environment. Required, 2 years.
•Troubleshooting Skills. Required, 3 years.

Desirable:
•Support of EMC SAN based Windows systems
•Knowledge of system management tools such as Control-M and
•Netbackup. Optional, 2 years.
•Knowledge of EMC Powerpath software
