Whole Loans Delivery Manager

The Whole Loans Delivery Manager will manage all the delivery and investor-related transactional activities required for selling whole loans into the secondary markets. This position will directly oversee and participate in various activities related to trade coordination, document review, collateral delivery, due diligence process and impaired loan research.  This position will also work heavily with the Capital Markets trade desk and third-party business partners to maximize loans available for sale, minimize warehouse cost of capital, and determine best execution strategies.  This position will manage a staff of 35+ FTE, including several trade/transaction managers and senior mortgage specialists.  This position reports into the Warehouse Operations department of SunTrust Mortgage.Specific Job Duties: - Develop, analyze and actively manage warehouse reports to maximize liquidity, optimize warehouse profile and minimize basis risk. Assist trade desk in identifying and executing optimal disposition strategies for various populations of loans. - Create and leverage strong relationships with private investors to maximize deliveries (up to $2B/mo depending upon market conditions). - Ensure compliance within trade tolerances for pricing and volume. Successfully manage aggressive, investor- and market-driven timelines for sale, file delivery, due diligence, collateral/credit reviews and tie-out processes. - Cross-train and develop a high-performing of mortgage specialists with wide breadth and depth of investor, industry and product knowledge. - Research and determine disposition options for loans unsalable to secondary market investors. - Meet or exceed corporately driven warehouse management goals and metrics related to balance, turnover, velocity and impaired loans.
