Wealth Management District Sales Mgr

Manages wealth management sales activities in a designated district, providing products and services including investment and money management, estate planning, tax planning, trust, mortgage, insurance and other specialty products to individuals and institutions, with responsibility for achieving sales goals. Manages staff, assigning, prioritizing and monitoring work. Provides product, procedure, sales and service coaching and training and coordinates ongoing staff development. Takes active role in sales efforts, typically assisting with more complex customer situations as needed. Sells accounts personally to established sales goal, generating leads, developing and presenting proposals, negotiating deals and closing sales. Ensures that own work, as well as work of any employees supervised, is in compliance with applicable laws, regulations and guidelines, as detailed in policies located on Company intranet; policies include but are not limited to Fair Lending, Know Your Customer, Bank Secrecy Act and other applicable anti-money-laundering policies.Requirements: Regional travel required. 4-year degree in Finance, Economics or Business or the equivalent combination of education and work experience required. 7-10 years of extensive and progressively responsible experience in wealth management sales. In-depth knowledge of wealth management industry, including business and sales practices and legal and regulatory guidelines. Thorough understanding of the economy, securities and financial markets. Excellent sales skills, including history of successfully attracting new customers. Management experience, with ability to coach, train and motivate other salespeople effectively. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence outcomes creatively with a wide variety of customers to mutual benefit. Ability to conceptualize and implement strategies to target new business opportunities.
