We currently have a great opportunity in our Marketing Department, located in our San Francisco, CA site for an extremely organized self-starter to support key business objectives and promote the Bank of the West brand by developing and implementing retail visual concepts designed to affirmatively engage customers and prospects, reflect the Bank’s unique positioning, reinforce the brand, and showcase key products and offers.

In this pivotal role, you will:Promote and reinforce our brand, our positioning, and all aspects of our visual identity for our target audience across our network of 700 bank branches and ATMs Develop/maintain a comprehensive architecture for visual merchandising, including the style, format, hierarchy and placement of materials in branch Develop creative merchandising solutions that reinforce the brand, showcase products and offers, resonate with target customers, and drive sales for specific marketing campaigns and programs Manage the implementation of visual merchandising in our branches and at events Classify our network of 700 branches by type (e.g. rural, urban, suburban, senior, business, commercial, flagship, small-space, technology-centered, etc.) and create/communicate visual merchandising maps for each branch, indicating placement and prominence of primary, secondary and tertiary promotional materials Resolve branch-specific merchandising challenges Serve as a key team member for all promotional initiatives (including de novo branches), and provide guidance for best use of visual merchandising to support business objectives Oversee the production and installation of visual merchandising materials to ensure compliance with brand standards and merchandising architecture Create systems for monitoring and otherwise ensuring visual consistency across the branch network (visit branches, prioritize flagship and high volume locations, ensure compliance, and help optimize visual impact) Monitor consumer and prospect reaction to promotional and merchandising displays to identify strengths and weaknesses, and define strategies and tactics for improvement Remain current on the best practices for visual merchandising, both within and outside of the financial services category as well as consumer, competitor and industry intelligence

Candidates must have:A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Art/Design (Master’s Degree preferred) 10+ years of experience in retail merchandising Complete knowledge of the visual merchandising discipline, marketing & advertising, graphics, design, layout, and production A solid understanding of media relations The proven ability to plan, prioritize, organize and work independently Strong leadership skills with the demonstrated ability to drive business results Experience influencing, training and motivating others Excellent analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and written/verbal communications skills
