BUILDERS BANK is a dynamic commercial real estate bank that specializes in short-term commercial real estate loans on a national level.



Due to growth/promotion, Builders Bank is seeking a highly seasoned Underwriter to work out of the Garden City office.



The successful candidate will manage the full due diligence process on residential and commercial real estate transactions (ex. land loans, construction loans, acquisition financing).

Specific responsibilities include:



*Coordinate due diligence process involving a number of internal and external constituents

*Analyze risk related with borrower, real estate collateral and overall transaction; structure credit as needed to resolve issues

*Develop property level cash flow analysis; value assets

*Market research

*Review documents for completeness and accuracy

*Analyze financial statements – borrowers and property level

*Establish general creditworthiness of potential borrowers

*Engage and review third party reports

*Perform a variety of asset managment functions



Requires:



Undergraduate degree, minimum of 5 to 7 years experience in underwriting real estate financings with increasing complexity; preferably with a bank.  Strong market knowledge. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong work ethic and teamwork skills. Ability to understand complex appraisals and title documents. Excellent computer skills including full knowledge of Excel and Word.  Minimal travel required
