USA jobs: Product Controller Assistant M/F - VIE New York

Within Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking (SGCIB), you will join our Accounting and Finance (ACFI) department in New York, and more precisely the team supporting the Trading (TRD) desk which is part of the \"Product Control Group” (PCG).

The team produces daily profit and loss reports for activity managed in NY and performs the month end close for activity booked in local entities. You will work with Front and Middle Offices.

Your role
Your principle responsibilities will be :
- Assist the team in the economic versus accounting PNL reconciliation of listed and OTC products,
- Help on the analysis, solving and correction of discrepancies,
- Participate in the set up and continuous improvement of all operational procedures and controls in order to secure processes and to improve the quality of accounting

The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in New York is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last from 12 to 18 months.
The VIE is a specific contract, under Ubifrance’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information, please see www.civiweb.com.

Your profile
Graduate from a Business School or a two-year level Master degree with a specialization in Financing or Accouting, you have a good financial knowledge

A previous similar experience will be a plus.

You speak English fluently and you are proficient with the Pack Office and VBA.

Reliable and quality-oriented, you have good organization skills.

Pro-active, you are able to make the right decision.

Finally, your open-mindedness and your team spirit will be the keys to succeed in your mission.
