USA jobs: Commando Developer M/F – VIE New York

Join as a VIE our Equity Derivatives trading desk in New York as a Commando Developper. You will support the team being the interface in most cases to SQL databases, pricing libraries and others high-end SG financial softwares.

You will also interact mostly with Traders and occasionally with Sales, Engineers, the COO Management, Quants and IT developers as well.

Your role
As a Commando Developer, your work will involve the development of VBA based tools from traders and their support.

Supporting and working closely with the traders, your main mission will be to:
Focus on rapid delivery of high quality automation tools (VBA / SQL),
Review live trading applications, market data feeds (Bloomberg, Reuters, etc),
Integrate them with internal SG data into robust applications,
Help create risk reports, develop pricers and other applications that enable a trader to make a “Trade / Don’t Trade” decision.

The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in New York is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 18 months.

You will receive an allowance to complete Ubifrance allowance.

The VIE is a specific contract, under Ubifrance’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information, please see www.civiweb.com.

Your profile
Graduate from Engineering School, Computer School or University with major in Computer Science, you ideally have previous experiences in a trading floor, VBA spreadsheets macros and coding.

You speak English fluently.



You are proficient with Visual Basic and Excel and C++, other programming languages and SQL. A good knowledge of other object-oriented languages is definitely a plus (C#, C++, Java).

Tenacious, results and quality oriented, you are someone who have the ability to plan and schedule.

Pro-active, you also take initiatives and decisions and you have good entrepreunarial skills.
